INTERNAL MEDICINE
We are prepared to assist adult patients with all of their health needs. For some this is annual well visits, work related forms and assessments, immunizations and cancer screens. For others it may be management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and emphysema. We specialize in caring for patients with multiple chronic illnesses and coordinating care with appropriate sub-specialists.
Whatever the need, we are there to help you and your family.
GERIATRIC CARE
Our physicians are all boarded in Geriatric Medicine and coordinate care for older patients from the perspective of quality internal medicine and the best functional support of geriatric syndromes. These may include weight loss, weakness with falls, dementia and delirium. Also we offer home visits for patients who can no longer leave their home on an ongoing basis for primary care needs.
LIFESTYLE MEDICINE
After participating in courses over several years at the Harvard Medical School on Lifestyle Medicine we are incorporating methodologies to assist patients in managing lifestyle choices that affect their health. This includes the science of nutrition, culinary health fundamentals, stress management, exercise by prescription and transforming lifestyles to not only enhance health but also treat disease.

Founded in 1991, Island Internists is a three physician medical group of Board Certified Physicians in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics in Staten Island, New York. We specialize in providing medical care for children over the age of 18, adults, and seniors.
Island Internists understands the need for consistent care. We treat each patient like family. Our compassionate, professional staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of medical care. Because we are physician owned, we are patient driven. Our focus is to provide you with professional, excellent care.
We are not tied to any large medical corporation. We provide effective care that is responsive to the medical needs of our Staten Island community.
